2019 Ontario North Fall Gathering – CFUW Sudbury

The 2019 Ontario North Fall Gathering is being hosted by CFUW Sudbury with the theme of Living with Lakes: Protecting our Waters. The event will be held at the Living with Lakes Centre at Laurentian University on Saturday, October 19th.

Our Keynote Speaker will be Autumn Peltier, the recently named the chief water commissioner by the Anishinabek Nation.  In the afternoon participants will be able to attend one of two presentation. They can choose to hear from Dr. John Gunn, a professor at Laurentian University, speak about the changes in Sudbury’s water quality over the year, or from Miranda Virtanen, the Executive Director of the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee, who will speak on urban waterway issues and citizen stewardship.
